Find the right workspace

Start where the job lives.

Each workspace has one primary responsibility; the report and decision history connect them.

1

AI Analyst

Run one-off research, choose the report depth and model, add documents, inspect the live process, and reopen saved work.

2

Monitors

Create recurring research around a thesis, catalyst, asset, or topic. Compare fresh results with prior runs and receive alert or digest emails.

3

Portfolio

Organize holdings, exposure, basis, marks, debt, cash flow, thesis, review cadence, source state, and asset-level actions.

4

AI Investor

Operate a strategy mandate with candidate ideas, PM reviews, watchlists, paper positions, decision records, budgets, and human approval gates.

5

Registry

Search the live capability catalog when you want to understand available data sources, research tools, models, or analytical skills.

Account settings · configure once

Set your reasoning lens and connected evidence.

Open the account menu, choose Account Settings, and configure the defaults Starwood AI should carry into future work. You can change them as your mandate evolves.

1

Choose the investment philosophy

Select a built-in framework for a proven reasoning style, or choose My Own Philosophy and write the principles, thesis logic, heuristics, risk rules, and decision framework your team uses. You can save multiple custom philosophies and switch the active one.

The active philosophy guides judgment, recommendations, risk assessment, and structuring. It does not relax sourcing or evidence rules.
2

Set structure where useful

Keep the default analysis structure or add vertical-specific instructions so, for example, real estate and public-equity work follow different house formats.

3

Bring your own keys

Add supported AI-platform or data-source credentials under API Keys. Keys are encrypted, are never shown again after saving, and your account key is used before any platform default.

4

Add private and customer-specific context

Upload supported documents and Data Vault datasets for account-scoped research. If your team depends on an internal system or another third-party source, Starwood AI can integrate a customer-specific connector during onboarding so it can join relevant AI analysis.

The result: one platform can reason with your standards and route across the permitted public, licensed, private, and custom evidence your work requires.

Expert mode

Check the source path behind the answer.

Expert mode is off by default to keep the workspace calm. Turn it on when you want the detailed tool activity and referenced source rail.
